My Touring Bike - 2014 Lynskey Backroad

My touring bike is a 2014 Lynskey Backroad with S&S couplers.  The only change I've made to the bike from the original specifications is to swap the Lynskey branded seat with a Brooks B-17 saddle and to replace the Continental Touring Plus (37-622) tires with Schwalbe Marathon Supremes (32-622).  I wanted to ride the bike for awhile before making changes to the components, as of November 2016 I have 4,335 km on the bike and have a few things on  the list but only the saddle and tires were in need of immediate attention.

I made an online purchase direct from Lynskey and built the bike myself, with the exception of pressing the headset and fork race (the tools to perform these installations are very expensive and you really only use them when you purchase a new bare frame).
Lynskey touts that the frame doesn't have a weight load limit and I have no doubt that it will carry more weight than I can possibly push.  When I started my search for a touring frame I didn't know what type of touring I would be doing so I sought out a bike that would not need to be pampered and would never be the limiting factor for a tour.  I think this bike will certainly fit that bill.  I have regularly taken the bike up gravel rutted roads over 20% grades.  It doesn't break a sweat and is comfortable to boot.  Descending down the same it is equally as capable and the mechanical Avid BB-7 disk breaks are confidence inspiring.  The quality of the frame construction is second to none and the titanium welds are a thing of beauty.  The craftsmen in the Lynskey welding shop are true artisans.  I'm a mechanical engineer and really enjoy and appreciate every weld on this frame.  The quality of this construction makes itself apparent in the handling of the bike, it's solid and true on any road surface.
